In the spirit of discovery, our crew recently set out for an unforgettable Geographe Bay adventure aboard our amphibious Sea Legs vessel to take a closer look at the infinite experiences that the South West region has to offer our guests.

Launching effortlessly from the beach at Eagle Bay, we cruised into crystal-clear waters, ready to explore this stunning coastline, under ideal conditions for a luxury holiday in South West WA.

Geographe Bay and Cape Naturaliste

We cruised west along Geographe Bay toward Cape Naturaliste, passing sheer cliff faces beneath the lighthouse. Here, stalactites hung dramatically over the shallows, creating a breathtaking contrast between sea and land. As we rounded the point, we were captivated by surfers dancing along the world-class waves at the break locals call the “Otherside of the Moon”,  rated best in the summer for favourable surfing conditions.

Continuing along the WA coastline, we were met with rolling green hills that tumbled straight into untouched, white-sand beaches. Soon, the iconic Sugarloaf Rock rose in the distance, where we watched divers in search of fresh crayfish. We were even lucky enough to spot Humpback Whales breaching as they migrated south—a magical experience to be had from our luxury catamaran in Australia.

Bunker Bay and Eagle Bay

As the morning drew on, appetites grew, and we turned back toward Bunker Bay. There, we drove the Sea Legs directly onto a secluded beach cove, set up a delicious morning tea, and enjoyed a refreshing swim in hidden rock pools – it’s the innocence of nature that make luxury small cruises in Australia a favourite for tourists.

With spirits high, we began our return journey to Eagle Bay, only to be treated to one more wildlife encounter: a group of playful seals basking on a rocky outcrop, delighting us with their antics in the sun

Back on land, we ended the day with a stop at Cherubino’s Tuscan-inspired cellar door, where we sampled a range of exquisite wines over the region’s rolling vineyards.
